It wasn’t very often that the kids in shop class, home economics, or the art department were celebrated. Usually it was the athletes or outgoing leaders. Meanwhile, other kids were tucked into a corner of the school trying to understand their quiet gifts and wondering if it was okay to be who they were.

Some identities are celebrated, publicly acknowledged. Humanity gravitates toward those. But God also sees the overlooked souls and has purposed their identities as an essential part of the Kingdom of God too. Same with those in professions who feel unnoticed or not celebrated.
