I have been so heartbroken that I’ve told myself to stop dreaming big. I’ve told myself it wasn’t worth it to allow my heart to want things. I have wanted to tell other people, out of my hurt, that it is safer to stay little. I was wrong.

It’s not the broken dreams that will wreck us. It’s staying in the wreckage looking around that will. You can’t rebuild without clearing the debris. It’s only then that you can start to create a vision of hope.

Nurturing visions and dreams and goals is one of humanity’s greatest abilities. You were made to see past the rubble. The process of dreaming is deeply creative and fulfilling. It’s okay to give yourself over to it.
