God, will you Shift My Perspective to Always See People First?

Jesus said, “You feed them.” “But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Or are you expecting us to go and buy enough food for this whole crowd?”

Luke 9:13, NLT

Have you ever had a surprise guest or guests? You look at the food you had prepared, but you don’t know how it’s going to stretch far enough. You open the refrigerator and start to get creative. I’ve been there, and somehow, everyone left satisfied.

Jesus will always see people, not problems, first. And that’s the opposite of our point of view. He already had a plan in place when the disciples asked if he expected them to solve this problem. This wasn’t just about Jesus’ ability to multiply miraculously. It was about his disciples’ perspective. Do we see people or problems?
