Am I a good leader?
Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.

The simplest and purest things in the world may not sparkle, but they hold a wise dignity that few can argue with. God designed it that way.
And yet we see people in power all the time who lord it over others and hurt those with less power. This angers us.
Don’t worry. God sees, and eventually—in his timing—they will be shamed for what they have done.

Are you in a position of authority? (Really, all of us are!) Examine your leadership for any signs of abuse of power.

God, may my leadership in every area of my life be based on the simple and pure things of your Bible. Let me not be shamed for thinking more of myself than I ought or for using my authority inappropriately.
