How Do I Become Holy?
Do not bring shame on my holy name, for I will display my holiness among the people of Israel. I am the Lord who makes you holy.

Have you ever tried to wash the middle of your back, right between your shoulder blades, when you were too stiff to reach there? If you have, or if you—like I—use purple shampoo (to keep those highlights bright) and end up with purple stain in your ears that you can’t see, you know the value of having someone else help you clean that spot.
Isn’t it a relief to know it is the Lord who makes us holy?

As you wash your hands today, thank God that he makes us clean, especially in our “blind spots”—the places we can’t see.

Lord, sometimes I don’t even know I harbor a harmful attitude or behavior until it’s too late. Please keep showing me how you want to make me holy.
